The Truth About The Law of Attraction:
Why We Attract What We Fear
For a hot minute now, I’ve been trying to decipher why we attract what we fear. I’ve decided to document my findings with the hope that they’ll be helpful to someone other than me.
Fear, an influential and primal emotion, has an unsettling ability to influence our thoughts, behaviors, and the long-term decisions we make. Most individuals often attract the very things they fear the most.
This puzzling phenomenon is commonly associated with the “Law of Attraction,” a concept that posits an attraction between similar matters.
The psychological and spiritual explanations behind attracting what we fear have been my key focus so I may understand how we can eliminate these self-imposed limitations.
Below are principles associated with how we attract what we fear:
- The Power of Focus:
At the heart of the Law of Attraction lies the power of focus. Fear creates anxiety and worry emotions that escalate to powerlessness to take action.
Fearing an outcome we don’t desire formulates a vision of the result, and in doing so, we accidentally manifest our imagination into reality.
Our focal intensity creates strong feelings that push our subconscious to yield the expected results.
Honestly, we attract what we focus on through our thoughts and emotions. Fear paralysis us from taking action hence manifesting the expected outcome.
2. The Subconscious Mind:
Our subconscious mind plays a vital role in what we Attract. While we may consciously desire positive outcomes, deep within, our fears are harbored in our subconscious, where they operate subtly. These underlying fears form limiting beliefs, affecting our self-esteem and confidence. Low esteem hinders our decisiveness and self-trust concepts vital to positive outcomes.
3. Emotional Vibrancy
Another factor that contributes to attracting what we fear is the power of emotions. Feelings bear vibrational frequencies; fear emits particularly strong and responsive energy. The subconscious mind gets the strength to operate from our passion: we Attract things within our vibrational frequencies. Our emotional state plays a vital role in what we attract, as energy is transferrable.
4. Dignity and Belief Systems
Our identity and belief systems occupy a huge part of who we become. The standards we set of what we deserve influence everything we attract into our lives. A Harvard psychologist stated that we attract what we are: we are what we believe we deserve. Our standards influence our beliefs.
The Law of Attraction offers acute insights into the compound interconnection between our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. Though the concept comes off as mystical to many, its psychological foundations reveal that our fears and beliefs deeply impact the directions our lives take. We can conquer self-limiting patterns to focus on positive outcomes by understanding the foundational causes that attract our anxieties.
It’s imperative to be mindful, recognize, and release our fears: if we’re to attain our desired goals. Replacing our belief systems and narrative formulates a new vibrational frequency with positive possibilities: a magnetic force pulling abundance and fulfillment into our lives.
